Forklift Training Courses
....to suit the experience and needs of the trainees
One day course
The one-day course is only for operators who currently hold a certificate of basic training issued by an accredited training organization.
Below is an example of the course:
- Day 1. Theory in the classroom, Remedial training Theory and driving tests
Proof of experience will be required and signed for by the supervisor.
Three Day Course
This course is for the trainees who have driving skills already and need to be trained in the use the forklift controls, stacking and steering technique,
Below is a typical example of the course program:
- Day 1. Theory in the classroom, Pre operation checks, Maneuvering.
- Day 2. Stacking and de-stacking various loads bulk, and in racking systems
- Day 3. Practice operating skills lorry loading theory and driving tests.
Five day course
This course is for the trainee who has no driving skills and has received no training on forklift trucks or other vehicles.
Below is a typical example of the course program:
- Day 1. Theory in the classroom, Pre-operation checks, Basic Maneuvering,
- Day 2. 90 Degree turns, low level stacking and transporting loads.
- Day 3. Remedial practice, Stacking and se-stacking various loads.
- Day 4. Stacking and de-stacking various loads bulk and racking systems.
- Day 5. Practice operating skills, lorry loading, course theory and driving tests.
Cost of the training courses
Our company charges per day for the Instructor/Examiner to conduct the theory and practical sections of the training courses.
(Note: The price is not per trainee)
All the above courses are based on a maximum training ratio of three trainees to one instructor. For refreshers training we would recommend a two to one Instructor ratio in all cases.
On successful completion of each course, the trainee will receive an Accredited Certificate of Basic Training issued by Flintshire Industrial Training, as laid down by requirements of the HSC Approved Code of Practice (L117).
Optional Extra
Operators may be entered onto the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) and receive their photo identification card for an additional cost of £20.
